Sulwhasoo supports the preservation of a royal gift to FranceGlobal luxury skincare brand Sulwhasoo signs an agreement to ‘support the preservation and use of royal cultural heritage’ with Korea Heritage Service’s Royal Palaces and Tombs Center and National Palace Museum.
Through the agreement, Sulwhasoo will donate 250 million won to the Royal Palaces and Tombs Center and the National Palace Museum for the production and use of replicas of 'Banhwa', a bonsai craft from the Joseon royal family, was sent by King Gojong (reigned 1864-1907) to French President Marie Francois Sadi Carnot (reigned 1887-1894) to commemorate the establishment of diplomatic relations between Joseon and France (1886). It is currently stored in the Musee National des Arts Asiatiques-Guimet in France.
This agreement is significant in that Sulwhasoo, Korea's leading beauty brand, is collaborating with key organizations of the Korea Heritage Service and a national jade master to restore overseas royal heritage. Sulwhasoo, which continues to engage in various cultural activities, plans to continue its social responsibility activities to promote Korea's traditional culture and beauty, such as sponsoring the Royal Culture Restoration Project.
