Hyundai Bioland succeeded in obtaining Halal certification in Indonesia, laying the foundation for entry into the Islamic cosmetics market.

According to Hyundai Bioland, a comprehensive healthcare company affiliated with Hyundai Department Store Group, it obtained Indonesian Halal certification for 25 types of cosmetic raw materials from BPJPH, an Indonesian Halal certification body, in May 2024.

Items that have obtained halal certification include Portulaca fragrant extract (for irritation relief) and dermabiotics (for anti-aging), which are Hyundai Bioland's flagship products.

In order to obtain this halal certification, Hyundai Bioland independently verified the ingredients of the raw materials for six months and passed all of Indonesia's certification procedures through rigorous preliminary verification of not only the tools and equipment used in the manufacturing process, but also packaging and labeling.

Based on this halal certification, Hyundai Bioland plans to actively engage in the business of supplying cosmetic materials to local cosmetics companies in Indonesia and Southeast Asia.
